Protective research, conservation, and restoration of locality Ričina, Posušje
Project Protective archaeological research of the medieval necropolis of the stećak tombstones of the municipality of Posušje started on Monday 9th of April, 2018. The project’s holder is Posušje Municipality with the support of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports. The research leader is Tino Tomas, an archeologist from the University of Mostar. The research team consists of archeologists Maja Soldo, Josip Penava, Katarina Bešlić and student of archeology Tomislav Mihalj.
This project represents the first phase of the project “Protective research, conservation and restoration of locality Ričina, Posušje”. The municipality of Posušje with this project continues activities to protect the cultural, historical and architectural heritage of Ričina , which is on the list of petitions for proclaiming it as a national monument. The timeline for archaeological research of this phase of the project is from the 9th of April to the 19th of April, 2018, depending of the situation on the ground.
